Visa announce 'disruption' preventing payments from being processed

Visa debit cards are not working across the United Kingdom and most of Europe after the company suffered a major network fault.

Paymentsense say they are in touch with VISA and have apologised to customers "for any inconvenience". "We will keep you updated".

Credit card company Visa is experiencing a service disruption across Europe which is preventing transactions being processed.

"We are investigating the cause and working as quickly as possible to resolve the situation", Visa said in a statement. Staff did not know why transactions were not going through.
