Harvey Weinstein Again Accused Of Rape In New Class-Action Lawsuit

It comes a week after Weinstein was arrested on NY state rape and criminal sex act charges.

She says she turned on her computer's video recording capability to help demonstrate internet technology she was trying to sell him.

The lawsuit alleged that the recorded images captured some of Weinstein's advances.

"His palms have been in every single place and she or he couldn't get out of his grasp or sustain with deflecting him", the lawsuit states. It said Thompson, feeling cornered but wanting to finish the demonstration, responded: "Ummmmm".

Weinstein informed her the assembly would proceed on the Tribeca Grand Lodge after he completed enhancing a film, the criticism says.

She alleges he then held her down and raped her.

Back in 2017, when the first wave of accusations against Weinstein were reported by The New York Times and The New Yorker, Thompson says a mutual friend put her in contact with Spiro.

The lawsuit reportedly seeks to have class-action status in order to represent other women that it claims were victimized by Weinstein and what it described as his enablers. "They're asking for damages".

While precise numbers are not available, at least 700 children have been taken away from their parents in this heartless fashion. There won't be a more humane set of policies coming out of this administration, because they have no interest in being humane.

In statements given to CNN, Braufman claimed the firm "never represented Melissa Thompson", and that he "personally never met with her or any of the other women named in the lawsuit". "We will soon formally move to dismiss the indictment and if this case actually proceeds to trial, we expect Mr Weinstein to be acquitted".

Mr Weinstein is now free on $1m (£751,000) bail, and has agreed to wear a Global Positioning System tracker and to surrender his passport.

It is noted that Harvey Weinstein would require the court to find him not guilty and vehemently denies the rape charges.

Brafman said his client intends to "vigorously defend against these unsupported allegations that he strongly denies".

Thompson said that in her exchanges with Spiro she used his aspiro@brafllaw.com email address, communicated with him about legal strategy for the victims, and even sent along "video evidence" of the encounter, only to learn from news reports in November that Brafman was representing Weinstein.

Caitlin Dulany, a second plaintiff, was sexually assaulted, battered, threatened and falsely imprisoned in Weinstein's hotel suite during the Cannes Film Festival in 1996, the lawsuit said.

"Alex Spiro was by no means a companion of this agency he was one in every of many Associates and left this agency in or about Sept 2017", Brafman stated within the assertion. Dulany and Gomes have previously spoken publicly.
