Man shoots self after killing 3 people in MD home

At least two people were killed Monday in Montgomery County, in what appeared to be a domestic disturbance, the police said.

His wife fled to the neighbor's house after he held her over the weekend in their own home across the street, Montgomery County Department of Police Chief Thomas Manger said during a news conference.

"We can confirm that the suspect of these homicides is in his home on Brown Farm Way", Montgomery County police said in a tweet.

Snyder reportedly pursued his wife to the neighbor's home, where he allegedly shot and killed three people there before turning the gun on himself.

She told police she escaped to a neighbor's home for help around 3:45 p.m. ET Monday.

Police say negotiators spoke with him via phone for a "couple of hours". She told police she escaped to a neighboring house Monday, but Snyder followed her there.

According to reports, Snyder had a history of run-ins with police, and his address is listed as gun dealer Black Widow Enterprises, LLC. Manger also said police were not aware of any prior issues between Snyder and the victims.
