Google updates Privacy Policy ahead of GDPR

This is part of Google's compliance with the new European privacy regulations known as the General Data Protection Regulation.

If you visit Google's privacy policy page, you'll notice it is simple, colorful, and filled with many helpful videos.

In addition to this, the company has also published its updated privacy policy.

"We've explained our practices in more detail and with clearer language and added more detail about the options you have to manage, export and delete data from our services". The company goes on to say that as well as text, its policy now includes illustrations and videos to help to better convey information to people.

The "My Account" hub now brings together all the different ways users can review their privacy, security and ad settings, with Google pledging to make it easier for users to choose what activity is saved to their account. According to a new report, 62 per cent of consumers will feel more confident sharing data with businesses following May 25. You'll continue to have granular control over the data you share with us when you use our services, but with clearer explanations.

She said the agency "is committed to working closely with the manufacturers to resolve the shortage as quickly as possible". Mylan said its net income rose 31 percent to $87.1 million, or 17 cents per share, in the first quarter.

It's also worth heading over to the Activity Controls section to review and manage the activity data Google is saving with your account. The company's data download tool already allows you to download and save your info from Photos, Drive, Calendar, Play Music, and Gmail, but Google notes it's expanding this to additional services. Google encrypt the data by default and has an audit log when the support engineering teams interacts with the data.

Google announced today that Google Cloud Platform is ready for the GDPR.

Google has also been working with its global advertisers, publishers, developers, and cloud customers to prep for GDPR, the post said.

These changes come at a time where awareness on privacy issues are higher than usual with scandals such as the Cambridge Analytica data breach affecting Facebook users worldwide.

Google updates include improving user transparency and controls, and strengthening privacy compliance.
