Weather Forecast: Dry today, then showers return this weekend

Sunny skies on Saturday will make way for two days of rain, on Sunday and Monday, before another period of mostly dry Bay Area weather settles in, forecasters said.

Early Saturday morning will be quite mild with most spots in the 50s. It will be much cooler behind the cold front. Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds lashed parts of Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kollam, Kottayam, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta, and Thiruvananthapuram districts on Friday evening.

In addition to the snow, cold air will flood the state with highs on Saturday in the upper 30s to middle 40s.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph.or gusts of 58 mph or stronger may occur. Temperatures will dip into the low 60s overnight, with increasing clouds.

I wish I could tell you the forecast for Monday has changed; it has looked bad all week and it continues to look bad. Another cold front will move through Thursday bringing a chance for some showers and also dropping temperatures back a bit later next week.
