'Walmart Boy' Mason Ramsey Has Yodeled His Way to 'Ellen'

Clad in a red bow tie and cowboy boots, Ramsey stood confidently in the store, tapping his foot to his own voice.

The concert will start at 5 p.m. EST and will all be streamed via Walmart's Facebook and Twitter accounts. There even are dance-mix remixes of his performance. Other performers also got the chance to perform for the crowd, which was incredibly responsive despite the unusual venue.

The number of streams of "Lovesick Blues" - a song that is almost 70 years old - by the country music pioneer has increased by a whopping 2452% over a period of two weeks (26 March to 9 April). At the rate his career is moving, it may not be far off. The young star's Internet fame also earned the self-professed "country boy" a guest spot on the Ellen DeGeneres Show this week. He sat down with the comedian and charmed the audience before performing on national TV.

In line with his country roots, Ramsey expressed to DeGeneres that yodeling runs in his family - although he hilariously admitted that his grandpa Ernie isn't so great at it - and it's his dream to one day perform at the Grand Ole Opry. Damn generous of you, Walmart. Well, guess where he's now booked on Saturday?

In addition to all of that, Ramsey is injecting new life into the classic country music he loves.

Ramsey paid a visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Tuesday to perform "Lovesick Blues" and talk with Ellen about his country roots.
