Leicester's Riyad Mahrez: Joining Man City would have been 'a good move'

"I don't want to want to talk about this, because first it will bring more rumours and more talk and second we are very far away from this transfer window".

Mahrez's 97th-minute free-kick rescued a point for Leicester against Bournemouth last weekend, and the Algeria worldwide insists his mind is "focused on Leicester" and their remaining fixtures.

"In football players come, players leave, I'm not saying I'm coming or going", he added. Everything is very good.

"Manchester City is a good move for everyone but it is the past".

Mahrez denied going on strike after the disappointment of the failed move, but concedes he should have handled things better when he took a leave of absence from the Leicester squad. And the Algeria worldwide says the saga has not caused any tension within the club.

"I was away from here because I needed some time to think, it was a hard situation", Mahrez told Sky Sports.

"We are working with Facebook to have it removed". It was hard but I was always in contact with the club.

"It was hard but I spoke to the players, the manager, everyone".

We can all probably agree we want our kids exposed to the least amount of cancer-causing chemicals as possible. And those who used only e-cigarettes had much higher levels than those who used neither product .

"You always have regrets, at that time I thought it was the best thing to do". The club handled it very well.

Mahrez missed Leicester's games against Everton and Swansea during his self-imposed exile, with reports claiming he was distraught by the collapsed move and angry at Leicester for refusing to let him go.

Asked by Sky Sports if he could still move this summer, he replied: "I don't want to talk about this".

"I want to thank everybody for the kindness and support they have shown me in this incredible city".

After the last consultation with many doctors, I've chose to stay away from football.

Mahrez also brushed off the hoax retirement announcement posted on his Facebook page this week.

"It won't affect me so I don't know why they tried to do that".
