New Ferrari 488 Pista: how to follow a supercar like Speciale

It shows new design features, such as a deeper-set front bumper, new exhausts and a changed rear diffuser that set it apart from the 488 GTB. Pista is Italian for race track which means that the Ferrari 488 Pista should be a delight on the tracks. The vehicle should be officially unveiled to the public in two weeks time at the Geneva Motor Show 2018. Additionally, it features the most powerful V8 by Ferrari that makes 721PS at 8,000rpm and generates a meaty 770Nm at 3,000 rpm. The 2018 Ferrari 488 Pista makes its official debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show next month.

Ferrari's new Pista badge follows in the tradition of other mid-engined special editions such as the 348 GT Competizione, the F355 Challenge, the 360 Challenge Stradale, the 430 Scuderia and the 458 Speciale.

The Ferrari 488 Pista is revealed as Ferrari's new Special Series auto, complete with 711bhp from its 3.9 litre V8 turbo, a weight drop and 0-62mph in 2.85 seconds. That saving is no small feat considering the 488 GTB is hardly a heavy-weight.

Thanks to the combination of more power and less weight, the 488 Pista will sprint to 62 miles per hour in only 2.8 seconds and top out at 211 miles per hour.

Zidane Thinks Madrid Will 'Suffer' in Paris
Navas could parry his effort and the ball struck Nacho for the defender to register an unfortunate own goal . "He's looking good and we're thrilled to see him scoring and chasing things down up top", Zidane said ".

The Ferrari 488 Pista adopts some interesting aerodynamic solutions too. It gets a Formula 1-inspired S-Duct up front, front diffusers borrowed from the 488 GTE race auto, and a rear spoiler that all work together to increase downforce by 20 percent. The mill also has an additional 10 Newton-meters (7 pound-feet) of torque for a share of 770 Nm (568 lb-ft). It can sprint from 0-60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 211 miles per hour.

Driving dynamics of the vehicle have been improved due to the introduction of version 6 of the Side-Slip Angle Control system. Given quoted top speeds of 340km/h for the GT2 RS and Pista, and 341 for the 720S, we'll call it a three-way performance tie. Along with a host of fresh track-spec upgrades, for the first time ever, the company has introduced the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer in the 488 Pista.

The FDE used Ferrari software to adjust the brake pressure at the callipers.

The 488 special edition wasn't expected to be officially revealed until Geneva, but Maranello has been scrambling to plug leaks for months now, with images and technical information seeping out since late previous year.
