Red Sparrow Trailer #2: Jennifer Lawrence Is an Assassin on the Run

Francis Lawrence - the Oscar-winner's director on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and both The Hunger Games: Mockingjay films - helms this new feature.

It's not a bad accent, though it's clear why the first trailer wanted to focus on the eerie visuals and the wordless chemistry between Lawrence and Joel Edgerton's American CIA agent.

A new trailer for the movie has now been released.

That's followed by her committing multiple murders in several disguises. But the biggest danger she poses? It's that compassion that makes her fall in love with her mark, Nathanial Nash (Edgerton), an American CIA agent acting as a mole in Russian Federation. Audiences responded to Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen in Hunger Games because she was a plucky survivor who ultimately became a hero in a larger sense.

"They gave me a choice: die or become a Sparrow", her character explains. This film will be telling the story of fictional character Dominika Egorova as she is tricked into becoming a Sparrow recruit. A devoted daughter determined to protect her mother at all costs. The film is set for theatrical release on March 2. "A master of seductive and manipulative combat".

"When we finish with you, the person you were will no longer exist", Dominika is told as she struggles to endure the pain of each specially trained exercise. After much torture and the "sadistic training process" of the Sparrow School, Dominika comes out the most unsafe Sparrow the school has ever produced. But soon she soon must reconcile the person she was and the power she now commands with everything she cares about at risk - including an American CIA agent (Edgerton) who tries to convince her he is the only person she can trust.
