Mariah Carey is back!

Appearing on the New Year's Rockin' Eve special, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Mariah delivered on an improved performance in which she dished out renditions of her "Vision of Love" and "Hero" songs.

"They told me there would be tea!"

"Oh! It's a disaster!"

"We're going to try to do this right for you because I just want to show my appreciation for everyone that speaks out for justice and tries to make the world a better place".

Also returning is Jenny McCarthy, who will reprise her role as an on-site reporter providing commentary from the crowd throughout the night, which will include performances by Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas and Sugarland.

Never mind that Mariah Carey never was and never will be like everybody else, but she made it through her second song without the tea.

"Oh, I'm feeling a lot better than past year, when I had to get my own police escort to walk away", Carey said, after Seacrest asked how she was feeling.

Houston police: Intoxicated man found with weapons in downtown hotel room
The man has been arrested on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon and trespassing, according to KHOU Houston . Earlier this year, a man shot dead 58 people from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel, Las Vegas.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve airs live December 31 starting at 8 p.m. ET from New York's Times Square.

But all was forgotten this time around: "I'm feeling a lot than previous year, when I had to get my own police escort", Carey told Seacrest after he congratulated her on the broadcast. The performance went viral for all the wrong reasons, and it created a lot of dram between Carey and New Year's Rockin' Eve producers.

Mariah Carey quickly became one of Twitter's top trends for New Year's Eve and will most likely continue trending throughout New Year's day.

Mariah told the audience: "I'm trying to be a good sport here".

Last year, sound problems plagued her performance.

She later performed Toxic from the Axis Theater.
