Golden Globes 2018: James Franco wins Best Actor for The Disaster Artist

James Franco has now been feted with the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for his turn in The Disaster Artist as Tommy Wiseau, the filmmaker behind the notorious cult classic The Room.

"James Franco only prevented Tommy Wiseau from speaking at the Golden Globes out of fear of for how powerful his message would have been", blasted another.

As the camera panned across the room, catching Jackman looking slightly befuddled (and instantly creating a social media meme), Franco named some other friends, telling them they "taught me to be a better director, a more responsible person".

"Hey James Franco, nice #timesup pin at the #GoldenGlobes, remember a few weeks ago when you told me the full nudity you had me do in two of your movies for $100/day wasn't exploitative because I signed a contract to do it?" Franco, who also directed the film, said he was very happy to share the moment with Wiseau, and also thanked his cast and crew, including Seth Rogen and his brother.

Upon accepting the award, Franco called Wiseau up to the stage to join him. But when Wiseau reached for the mic, his big-screen imitator laughed, gently brushing Wiseau off and keeping the mic to himself.

Yet all night long, for a movie about teamwork and friendship, the "Disaster Artist" crew found themselves split up inside the Golden Globes ceremony itself. But James Franco, in a single gesture, at the microphone, reminded all of us it's really just a fantasy'.

According to the L.A. Times, Wiseau said he would have gone straight to the point: "If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place".

There was also a brutal camera pan over to Greg Sestero, who plays the infamous Mark in "The Room" ― the role Dave Franco plays in "The Disaster Artist". He did good with accent. "But he doesn't know how to throw [a] football, that's for sure!" "The American Dream is alive, and it's real", he added while talking to the Times.

Raiders make it official: Jon Gruden is their new coach
Owner Mark Davis hopes that will all change now that he has finally lured Gruden back for a second stint as the team's coach. Gruden responded: "Well, thank you". "Nothing's official yet, but these Chiefs fans have been on my case since we got here".
