The lunar eclipse, wherein the Earth's shadow will cover the moon, will be seen from 6:49 p.m. on January 31 until 12:09 a.m. on February 1.
The total phase of the eclipse - for those who can see it - will be 77 minutes.
The start of the year 2018 began with a rare version of super moon that was witnessed by people all over the world. Moonset will intervene for the rest of North and Central America.
Unless you are a regular moon-watcher, you may not notice anything different about this full moon.

The next total lunar eclipse this year will occur on 28 July and will be a micro moon, which occurs when a full moon or new moon coincides with the point in the moon's orbit farthest away from Earth.
These moons appear to be about 14% bigger and 30% brighter than the average full moon. It has also been dubbed as the "wolf moon". Before 2017, there was an 8 percent partial eclipse on December 31, 2009, but, for a total eclipse of a Blue Moon, we have to go all the way back to March 31, 1866. This promises to be a banner year for lunar exploration, and not just because of the renewed interest in sending astronauts back to the moon's surface. Together, they've not happened for 150 years. This year, however, will see two occurrences of two full moons in a month, with the second blue moon occurring on 31 March.
Although the name has nothing to do with color, Pagasa said the moon may appear with a tinge of blue in certain atmospheric conditions such as when there are volcanic eruptions or when exceptionally large fires leave particles in the atmosphere.
A total lunar eclipse - or a blood moon - is named so because of the dark red hue that is cast on the moon. There will be a meteor shower as well as a lunar eclipse during the course of January as well.
