Time magazine reveals shortlist for 2017 Person of the Year

The group consists of thousands of immigrants who came to the United States with their parents in hope for a better life.

Numerous names listed have been surrounded by controversy this year.

Trump was 2016's TIME Person of the Year.

President Trump was next, a little over an hour after he managed to make headlines once again by officially endorsing Alabama Senate hopeful Roy Moore despite accusations that he sexually molested a girl when she was 14 and assaulted another female was she was 16 in a restaurant parking lot.

Jenkins became the first woman to direct a film that made more than $100 million in its opening weekend. He has since brought charges against four people in his on-going investigation of potential involvement of the Trump campaign in Russia's efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election.

"The "#MeToo" Movement: "The online movement began amid accusations of sexual misconduct in Hollywood and several other industries.

U.S. ambassador: North Korea missile 'brings us closer to war'
Security Council and the new sanctions that may follow will solve nothing", the article said. The United States has imposed its own sanctions against the DPRK.

President Trump was named Person of the Year last year, calling it "a tremendous honor".

The magazine gave a nod to Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who has shaken up the Middle East with promises for a "more moderate Islam" and last month's shocking anti-corruption crackdown on Saudi officials and princes. You couldn't have a Person of the Year list in 2017 without Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping and Donald Trump.

"The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback was unable to find an NFL suitor this year after launching a national protest against racism and police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem". Other players followed, and President Trump supercharged the controversy. No offense to people like Jenkins (Wonder Woman was great!), Kaepernick (he definitely drove headlines), or Bezos, but these two seem like the most logical selections.

"I said probably is no good and took a pass", he said, per NBC.

The magazine will announce its 2017 pick Wednesday morning.
