Florida State will name Oregon's Willie Taggart as next head coach

This was the first time Florida State had to conduct a coaching search since 1975.

The move was rumored for a few days, but the news of Taggart heading home became officially reported on Tuesday afternoon.

Florida State has called a news conference for Wednesday morning to introduce Taggart.

Taggart danced around the topic of the Florida State opening when speaking with reporters last week. He told us that he grew up as an FSU fan but wasn't quite a good enough player to be recruited there. He replaces Jimbo Fisher, who took the job at Texas A&M.

Taggart, who spent just one year as head coach of the Ducks, holds a 47-50 overall record in eight years as a head coach. According to McMurphy, Taggart has been FSU's top priority since it became clear that Fisher was leaving.

Back Up, Curse Of Osiris Released]
We don't know everything there is to know about the game's second major expansion, and $35 is a lot to ask for any game upgrade. After the installation of Curse of Osiris , Destiny 2 will take up 44 GB of storage on PS4 and Xbox One and 68 GB on PC.

The 41-year-old coach posted a 7-5 record in his first season with the Ducks. He returns to his hometown of Florida where he coached at the University of South Florida from 2013 to 2016.

Taggart grew up in Florida and coached at the University of South Florida before joining the Ducks.

Florida State will not require near that level of rebuild, despite needing to reschedule a game against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday to extend the country's longest bowl streak to 36 games. After quarterback Deondre Francois was injured in the highly-anticipated opener against Alabama, FSU, ranked No. 3 to begin the season, got off to a terrible 2-5 start.

Willie Taggart is headed back to the Sunshine State.

Taggart's presence in Florida will making things more hard for Florida's Dan Mullen, especially on the recruiting trail.
