WOW air offers £99 flights to NY

Icelandic budget airline Wow Air is now selling one-way flights from London Stansted to JFK International in NY for as low as £99 ($130) - which is less than the cost of the taxes.

This does mean that your journey time is slightly longer, although you've got plenty of spare change leftover from the low-priced ticket that you could spend in the airport bar.

The airline announced new routes earlier this year to Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis and Cincinnati starting in April 2018, which link up with its new Stansted service.

WOW Air has dropped its prices once again this week - offering fares on its new route from London Stansted to the Big Apple for £99.

"Our new route to JFK does just that".

Wow Air already serves Newark, while Icelandair serves both Newark and JFK.

Favouring changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST), he said: "The Congress supports small businesses". But what we see, he is only working for major corporations. "I am ashamed of this fact", Rahul said.

The main downside is all flights have to go via Reykjavik in Iceland, rather than direct, and the no-frills airline charges customers extra for all the usual perks of a long-haul flight. The airline will also offer higher-priced flights from JFK to other destinations in Europe.

Of course, there is a slight catch - or bonus depending how you look at it.

Announcing the new route, Skúli Mogensen, founder and CEO of WOW air, said: "Since launching our Newark route past year, we've seen increasing demand from our Irish passengers looking for more ways to travel to the East Coast".

WOW air already provides services to Newark from Ireland and from April 26 next year, it will also service the biggest airport in the Big Apple, with flights departing from Dublin Airport seven days a week.

WOW air began flying in 2012.
